William F. Hewitt has been involved with the environmental movement for nearly 30 years as a writer, public official, teacher and activist. His book, A Newer World: Politics, Money, Technology, and What’s Really Being Done to Solve the Climate Crisis, came out late in 2012. He is an adjunct assistant professor at New York University’s Center for Global Affairs.
