Modesta Medard has over 20 years of experience in fisheries co-management, natural resource governance, governing social systems and networks, and the institutional, socioeconomic, gender, livelihoods, and socio-cultural dimensions of conservation. She holds a PhD in fisheries resource management and governance systems from Wageningen University and an M.Phil. from Moi University.
