Massoud Amin serves as the H.W. Sweatt Chair in Technological Leadership, directs the Technological Leadership Institute (TLI) and is a University Distinguished Teaching Professor and a professor of electrical and computer engineering at the University of Minnesota. He works on enabling smart, secure and resilient infrastructures. He leads extensive projects in smart grids, is the chairman of the IEEE Smart Grid, and is considered the father of smart grid.
