Erich Striessnig is an economic demographer at the Wittgenstein Centre for Demography and Global Human Capital (IIASA, VID/ÖAW, WU). His research interests span topics ranging from the effects of air pollution mitigation on well-being, to the importance of education in climate change adaption, and the question of the socially optimal level of fertility. He holds two master’s degrees in economics and philosophy from the University of Vienna, Austria, and is currently enrolled as a PhD student at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
